Ranking the top MMA camps in Asia 2014 edition

 


It has been exactly one year since I wrote the last one of these (see it here) and it has been a big few weeks for Asian mixed martial arts (MMA) with UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs. Le in Macau and ONE FC: Reign of Champions in Dubai, so this seemed like the right time to take a look at which have been the most successful camps in the region over the course of the last 12 months. Evolve MMA It has been a very good few months for Evolve MMA in both UFC and ONE FC with Shinya Aoki defending his ONE FC 155-pound world title, Ben Askren winning the ONE FC 170-pound world title, Herbert Burns taking another step closer to a title shot, and No. 3 ranked UFC contender Rafael dos Anjos recently becoming the first man ever to stop former UFC world champion Benson Henderson via technical knockout.


 


There was also a huge submission win for UFC fighter Leandro Issa over Jumabieke Tuerxun at the The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 19 Finale which saw Issa take home $100,000 in performance bonuses. Tyron Woodley recently put in one of the most impressive performances of his entire career after a camp at Evolve MMA, stopping Dong Hyun Kim at UFC in Macau with a vicious first-round knockout. Over the last several years, Evolve MMA has consistently been at the top of the heap in terms of winning percentage and big name fighters.
